INDUSTRY VISIT - PLANATE

(Reflection Blog)

The industry visit to Planate Management Group on April 14, 2025, held at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ), was a meaningful and eye-opening experience for us IT students. As part of our course on IT Seminars and Educational Trips, the visit gave us the chance to witness how a real-world tech company operates and how various fields like software development, hardware systems, and robotics come together in a professional environment.

When we arrived, the team at Planate welcomed us with warm smiles and humble introductions. Each professional shared their roles and walked us through the different projects they were working on—from web and application development to automated systems and robotic innovations. We were fascinated by how they applied their knowledge in solving real-world problems through tech. They even demonstrated some of their ongoing projects and showed us how different departments collaborate to bring ideas to life. Their passion, teamwork, and humility left a strong impression on us.

A key highlight of the visit was the Q&A session, where we were given the chance to interact directly with the professionals. We asked about their career journeys, the tools and technologies they use daily, and how they handle challenges in the workplace. Their answers were honest and encouraging—many of them shared stories of starting with little experience but growing through continuous learning and collaboration. They also gave advice on how to stand out in the tech field, emphasizing the importance of curiosity, adaptability, and soft skills like communication and teamwork.

Overall, the visit to Planate Management Group was inspiring and educational. It gave us a clearer picture of what to expect in the industry and motivated us to keep learning, building, and exploring the endless possibilities in the IT world.
